FM-200 Special Hazards Suppression Systems

FM-200 is a fire suppression agent manufactured in the United States by Great Lakes Chemical. It is a waterless replacement agent for the ozone depleting Halon 1301 used extensively before 1994. Human beings can be exposed to normal concentrations of FM-200 without any fear of health problems. FM-200 is a safe, no-residue protection for Class A, B and C type fires and has zero ozone depletion potential.

Some hazards in office, industrial, commercial or institutional facilities require special attention. These include hazards in computer rooms, clean rooms, telephone switches, art and historical centers and facilities where water damage from sprinklers must be avoided at all costs.
